As the level of conflict in your life can affect your health, so can the status of your health affect the level of conflict you are experiencing. If you want less stress and more balance/wellness in your life, have a chronic illness (such as diabetes or high blood pressure), or have unhealthy habits to overcome (smoking, substance use, poor diet) - a Health Coach can help keep you on track towards a healthier, happier life.

WHAT IS HEALTH COACHING?
Health Coaching is not just about solving problems, improving well-being, attaining goals, or achieving results. It is about discovery, awareness and choice. Coaches help empower people to find their own answers and encourage and support them on the journey as they follow important choices. Coaching is for people who want to see a change in their lives and are willing to actively work to design a different future.
We engage in co-active coaching which sees the coach and client as active collaborators. It is an alliance between two equals for the purpose of meeting the clients needs. It requires a commitment to exploring, learning, changing and taking risks.
CORNERSTONES OF THE HEALTH COACHING PROCESS
The foundation of co-active health coaching is based on the following cornerstones:
• The client is naturally creative and resourceful
• The agenda comes from the client
• The coach responds to the clients agenda and follows the shifting currents and themes that come out in the discussion
• Co-active coaching addresses the client's whole life
Together with your coach you will look at the different areas of your life that impact on your health and well-being, assess where you are now and where you would like to be. After this period of reflection and assessment, you will decide which of these areas are a priority for you and develop a plan for meeting your goals. You will design the coaching relationship together and reconnect on a regular basis to maintain motivation, identify stumbling blocks, and build in accountability. This follow-up can be done via telephone, one-to-one meetings or a combination of both.
